Write a short summary of what happens in the film
Using compelling cinematic visuals and slam poetry narration, Be There takes the audience on a trip back through history, using film, stills and animation. The narrative reminds the audience that when many of man’s greatest achievements occurred, they weren’t there, it was before their time. However, by going to Expo 2020 Dubai, their time is now. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness to the future and to see history in the making at this show of human brilliance. Expo 2020 Dubai really is the next great milestone in the story of human civilization.

The brief had suggested the use of stock footage, images or illustrations for many of the historic events mentioned in the script. However, with a visually dynamic director, the focus was put on set design and scene recreation, taking the audience from the cavemen era to the present time. Given this treatment, the role of the Production Designer became even more critical and therefore swiftly stamped his uncompromising vision on the film. Even the stock footage of Elvis was integrated into a playset via a television in a 50's-style motel.
The first part of the film which is all about history was shot in Prague with its great historic locations and strong art department. The second part of the film is all about the EXPO and the future and so all of the events and shows we envisaged
