Write a short summary of what happens in the film
Tseppas, an infamous Egyptian patisserie brand, wanted a disruptive film for the Mouled el Nabawi season. Mouled el Nabawi is our Easter basically, and during which time, Egyptians eat the traditional pastry, for which Tseppas is famous.
Cultural / Context information for the jury
Mouled el Nabawi is our Easter basically, and during which time, Egyptians eat the traditional pastry, for which Tseppas is famous. It is the time for buying and baking Mouled pastry, not unlike the habit of buying and baking Christmas cookies. Of course, it is not as common amongst the youth. Which is why this film was designed around and targeting a younger audience.
Tell the jury anything relevant about the direction. Do not name the director.
The film needed to be disruptive through off-beat and bizarre direction. Overly dramatizing the painfully plain and ordinary.
The cinematic look and visual tension borrows from the visual style of feature films, namely the works of directors Quentin Tarantino and Martin Scorcese.
