Careem, Egypt's largest ride-hailing app, wanted to capitalize on the African cup of Nations. The film is about two friends sitting in a car going through absurd (and obviously impossible) scenario of how the Egyptian team could win the cup. This one stood out in light of all the overly-positive , overly-optimistic ACN films running at the same time.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

Put nicely, Egypt's team was less than mediocre that year; and our chances of winning the ACN, a tournament we won six times before, were looking bleak. Needless to say, Egypt's a nation obsessed with football and historically our football success has always been tied to absurd football scenarios. It's always - this needs to happen, for us to qualify to the world cup.

The trick was to make two friends in a car - possibly the most abused premise in advertising - look fresh and interesting. The almost one-shot technique allowed the rap/conversation to flow uninterrupted. The fresh angles of the shots needed to show the conversation each rapper was having with the viewer. All while keeping the camera absent and unfelt - like a phantom floating around in the car.
