Write a short summary of what happens in the film

Location; living room. Instead of hearing our characters speak, a narrative voice that speaks on their behalf; describing what is happening, the problem is and how to solve it. Our main hero is on the floor with his food-delivery bag. Just as he’s about to take the first bite of his burger, the door suddenly opens and that friend, that always shows up asking for a some fries until they eat the whole box, barges in. The narrator has no shame calling him out, and provides the solution. Open the HungerStation-App, share the promo-code, he’ll get 20 Riyals, you’ll get 10. Simple. But because you can share the code unlimited times, the narrator takes us through the repeated journey of the process with fast close up cuts on any character in the room, including that security guard who walks in. Share the promo-code and #ShareTheGoodness

Cultural / Context information for the jury

Hanging out at home with friends is a very common practice among the youth in Saudi Arabia. Due to the limitations of the country’s conservative approach, the youth considers sitting at home, watching TV and ordering food an essential part of their days and weekends. A common insight is that one person is usually either stuck being in charge of driving off to get food, or making the online order. In order to make have more money to order, have more freedom to order multiple things, and to increase the usage and users of the application, the living room and the practice of hanging in a living room created the perfect occasion.

Tell the jury anything relevant about the edit. Do not name the editor.

Since our characters do not speak, the film’s story is told by the invisible voice over, explaining to the audience the situational placement of each character and instructing them with the process of sharing the promo code. Visually complementing the narrative, fast-cuts are used between medium and close-up shots, creating a rhythmic relationship of the narrative. During the first 20-seconds, each shot lasts 2-3 seconds, following the narrative’s pace of explaining the process for the first time, cutting between character establishment and object close-ups to literally for visual translation. When the narration speeds up, aiming to reinforce the process, the speed of the cross-cuts between the medium and close up shots increases by decreasing the shots duration to 1-2 seconds, except in longer pauses, creating a temporal relationship between each shot to showcase the transactional silent conversation occurring between two characters simultaneously.
