Results and Effectiveness

The banner was a trailblazing success, with a click-through rate of 18%, making it the highest for any Nissan banner on Dubizzle for the last 5 years. It also generated over 100,000 impressions on the Nissan innovations homepage. [Source: Dubizzle.com, Advertiser data 2013]

Creative Execution

Already part of a fully integrated campaign celebrating the many exciting innovations of Nissan, we took these campaign elements and incorporated them into a take-over banner that gave the consumer and their computer a good shake-up. We then looked for the most visited automotive sites in the region for SUV buyers e.g. Dubizzle.com. Our media agency then managed to secure a special media buy with Dubizzle.com to take-over space on everyone one of the automotive sections - to bring the idea to life. So the first thing the target audience would see when they arrived, was a live demonstration of Patrol’s unrivalled suspension system.

Insights, Strategy and the Idea

The Hydraulic Body Motion Control System (HBMC) is one of Nissan’s biggest innovations in the new Patrol. In a world-first, the advanced HBMC System has a 4-wheel independent suspension which gives the vehicle superb stability on rugged and sandy terrain. This was easy to communicate in print, but how do we bring it to life in Digital? Research had shown that the search to buy an SUV almost always starts online. So we decided to be as innovative as the HBMC technology itself.
