Brief Explanation
To make a meaningful difference in Ramadan and empower the people of UAE to become a part of that difference, Al Hilal Bank launched #DonateMySmile. We used the addictive power of social media to collect smiles. One smile = One Dirham donated to charity organizations dedicated to children’s welfare and development. All people had to do was share the hashtag #DonateMySmile on Twitter and Instagram or donate a smile through an interactive Facebook app or smile at state-of-the-art face recognition smile machines in malls and Al Hilal Bank branches. Over 400,000 smiles resulted in over 400,000 AED being donated.
