Brief Explanation
On World Environment Day, Al Hilal Bank endeavored to extend its existing environmental sustainability effort of switching the lights off daily at branches and offices after working hours, by launching a unique green initiative. We introduced dark-themed wallpapers and screensavers for both employees and members of the public to help them conserve power while using computers. The theme was also implemented on Al Hilal’s social media channels and website, generating cuts in power consumption for over 1,000 machines at the bank every day, while giving the public a chance to make a contribution themselves as well.
30,000 people saved energy by downloading and using our screen savers and backgrounds. Al HILAL's Facebook page increased by 1200 new fans.
