Brief Explanation
In today’s age, it’s practically unthinkable to consider gender inequality as a persisting issue. UN Women however, sees that despite decades of progress, gender discrimination is still rampant worldwide. We needed to lay this bare to audiences in both developed and developing societies, to restart a conversation everyone thought was finished. Using Google autocomplete, fed by 6 billion searches daily, we created an online video contrasting the achievements of women over the last century, with today’s shocking search results. We seeded the video across social media, news sites and blogs, igniting a worldwide debate through the campaign hashtag.
