Background
The digital footprint of Aldar was previously complex with more than 10 property microsites alongside a structure that did not support the growth and size of the company.
3 main challenges to the project were identified overall:
- Complexity from a project and stakeholders mapping perspective
- A very brand-centric website.
- No priority given to ROI driven sales and/or leads of properties.
The new digital footprint launched catered for the different user journeys/personas and enabled to service them different personalised experiences to drive real ROI from the platform.
Describe the strategy
The project strategy was anchored around Data, content and technology respectively creating:
1. Data allows us to create a personalised experience catering for the different user needs.
2. Content enables an immersive experience into the destinations
3. Technology allows us to create a connected experience available anywhere and on any device.
The approach was to conduct multiple stakeholder discovery sessions ranging from property management, facilities management, HR, Sustainability , Investor Relations, Careers and so on to tailor unique experiences for all journeys based on a wide range of target audiences and personas.
Audiences included UAE Locals, Expats, Incoming travelers, students and professionals, investors and media.
Describe the execution
The implementation was one of the biggest challenges as the agency won the account a few weeks before full COVID lockdown.
However, this was also a true show of major successes in challenging times by both agency and Aldar noting workshops, presentations, and all aspects from UI/UX, Development, Testing and GO LIVE all happened remotely and successfully.
The project was delivered within a one year timeframe agreed upon with the client.
