At Ikea we have 60+ storage and home organization solutions that allow you to change your life and living space as much as you want. So, we created films made of the exact same room, but every second, you could notice a small change. Celebration balloons in, celebration balloons out. New plant, small plant, bigger plant, many plants and then finally a new plant shelf from Ikea. New books, more books, new book shelf from Ikea. We won’t spoil them all, we’ll let you watch the films. The same room changed a million times with each second, it was always full of life. It was also always tidy and organized. The films were signed off with: there’s always room to change.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

In Saudi Arabia, people live together. Children don’t leave the house until they are married and it is common for grandparents to live with the family. This means that during 2020, houses got crowded, everyone was confined to their space, which is their room. This can get demotivating and depressing. We wanted to demonstrate to people that, even if they are spending a lot of time living within the same space or room, there was always room to change. Be it a change of work, interests and hobbies. And they could do so without worrying about new items and objects piling up at home.
