Background
As Egypt’s digital space is full of comics and memes, we as a creative digital agency, wanted to present an elevated entertainment content that would reflect the comic nature of the Egyptians, and how they turn their daily life situations into a material of satire. Following blue ocean strategy, we decided to introduce the first puppets digital web series. It is the first of its kind in Egypt. Thinking about the puppets, we came up with Aliens puppets show; how would an alien, who landed on earth, can start adapting to live in Egypt in contrast with the cliché aliens approach in Hollywood movies?
Describe the creative idea
As Egypt’s digital space is full of comics and memes, we as a creative digital agency, wanted to present an elevated entertainment content that would reflect the comic nature of the Egyptians, and how they turn their daily life situations into a material of satire. Following blue ocean strategy, we decided to introduce the first puppets digital web series. It is the first of its kind in Egypt. Describe the strategy
We decided to create web series that tackles young teens and family daily life situations in humorous approach and family-friendly language. With Giga and Mega, we have created an alien couple, landed in Egypt and reveal how they interact with the Egyptians in various comedy situations. With this couple, we were able to create comic material from the trends in Egypt.
Describe the execution
To match the digital audience, we have created 12 episodes each one lasts from 5 to 10 minutes. As music and comedy is best formula for the Egyptians, we have created a song to introduce the new couple for the audience. We have also invited several pages with large fan base to share the content from our page, which supported in the popularity of both the episodes and the song.
Describe the outcome
The Facebook page has reached 23,104 followers, post reach 2,811,304, post engagement 462,193 and video views 648,621 organically in 2 weeks. The song has reached 1 million views in 2 weeks.
