Brief Explanation
Water and electricity consumption in Dubai is high. As part of Dubai’s drive towards sustainable living, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) wanted to educate residents about making eco-friendly choices, starting with the appliances they buy. We created a page take over on a local classifieds website whereby an “unfriendly” washing machine literally drained all the electricity from the webpage, leaving our audience staring at a dark page. Upon clicking on the banner, the page was restored to normal with a message to choose eco-friendly appliances. The banner really electrified our audience.
