Brief Explanation
As the official mobile of the 2012 London Olympic Games, our challenge was to increase the awareness of Samsung Galaxy SIII during the games and engage users online. So we created the World’s First TweetOlympics. Participants had to register with one of two teams (White/Blue) and out-tweet one another over 3 weekly rounds. All they had to do was tweet “Things They Could Do with Galaxy SIII” followed by their team’s hash-tag (#TweetOlympicsWhite/#TweetOlympicsBlue). Campaign spread rapidly through Print, Blogs, Twitter and Facebook, leading many to micro/mobile site and igniting fierce competition – staying true to the spirit of the games.
