Brief Explanation
While core gamers were central to our strategy, volumes lay with gaming enthusiasts and we needed a creative way to introduce them to joys of football gaming.
Execution:
We created an augmented reality banner that allows user to interact with players in the banner through webcam. The user scores goals by heading in corner kicks from players from his/her team. User also has to contend with a snarky goalkeeper who passes comments on every unsuccessful kick. These banners were behaviorally targeted on Yahoo! properties.
Results:
Incredible interaction rate of over 40% and average-time spent on banner was 2 mins.
