Brief Explanation
After developing the identity and retail concept for Casa Del Gelato, a new self-service dessert franchise, we were tasked with launching the brand nationally. We explored several possibilities in traditional media, and soon realised the reach and frequency of our advertising wouldn't reach our awareness objective.
We then opted for a viral idea, which revolved around the rumour of a lost penguin spotted on Doha's waterfront. Combining online video, social media and a local lifestyle portal, we sparked a debate that ultimately got broadcast globally and elevated the brand into the local limelight.
