The Asian population is the key target audience for Afia sunflower oil. Since the Cricket World Cup was around the corner and this population has a strong affinity towards the game, the brand wanted to leverage the product attribute of 'Light on stomach' while connecting it to the cricket frenzy.
The commercial depicts a moment where two friends are watching a game while munching a snack. When there is an exciting point in the game, all they do is show thumbs up to each other in order to express their excitement, without even looking at each other. This, to suggest that they are too full to express their excitement as a result of the heavy food they've just eaten. And drive home the point that they should try Afia Sunflower Oil instead, that's light on stomach.
