Write a short summary of what happens in the film
Three skippable YouTube pre-rolls in collaboration with three huge Lebanese influencers:
The first 5 seconds of the first pre-roll opens on a young lady sitting in a dark parking lot sarcastically saying that all is fine, and it’s not the time to speak about rape cases that are “darkened” (disregarded). She seriously proceeds by encouraging viewers who didn’t “skip” the ad to use Abaad’s help hotline.
The first 5 seconds of the second pre-roll opens on a mom in the kitchen saying it’s not important that many mothers are abused daily in front of their children. She then addresses those who didn’t “skip” the ad to use Abaad’s help hotline.
The first 5 seconds of the third pre-roll shows a young woman casually watching TV and sarcastically dismissing the importance of GBV abuse cases. She seriously proceeds by encouraging viewers who didn’t “skip” the ad to use Abaad’s help hotline.
Cultural / Context information for the jury
The Lebanese watched their currency plummet in value, the streets go dark due to lack of electricity, their infants cry because milk was scarce, people rioting in front of pharmacies in the absence of medication and queuing for hours to fill their vehicles with gasoline - all while gender-based-violence (GBV) levels soared.
What’s even more absurd is that the rise of GBV still lands at the bottom of the “priority list of problems”, clearly shown in a GBV survey conducted in Lebanon by Abaad:
96% of young girls and women residing in Lebanon who’ve experienced domestic violence in 2021 stated that they’d never reported it- putting themselves at the backseat of more life- threatening matters including lack of food and medication.
As mountains of problems buried the importance of women’s right to safety, our mission became to make it a #Prioritytoo.
