Brief Explanation
In this film, we explore the extraordinary things that can happen when people come together.
The film features the hands of many different people, young and old, from all over the world, coming together to form striking, iconic shapes – shapes of buildings, lightbulbs, windmills, and more, all that represent the progress that can be created through collaboration to create a better future for us all.
The beautiful, playful choreography seamlessly flows from one scene to the next to an energetic soundtrack. The musical accompaniment was also created by a collaboration of hands clapping, clicking and banging, and inspired by the musical rhythms of the UAE.
As we see ideas transpire from nothing, unimaginable buildings rise from the ground, and playful, high-tech futures come to life, we invite the viewer to join us and see how extraordinary we can be when we work together.
Execution
127 people from all walks of life, cultures and ages came together to help craft this film, truly showing the power of human collaboration. This film required days and hours of rehearsals for the choreographer & all of the performing artists involved to perfect the iconic shapes featured throughout this film. The directors and creative chose to use bold colours and the dexterity of dozens of hands to create the illusion of easily-recognisable and iconic objects including the Burj Khalifa, the World and so on. The seamless camera movement was carefully crafted and the use of various lighting helped to create the different textures and shadows we see throughout the film.
