Brief Explanation
A day like any other, we start the daily routine of a Saudi family morning, The mother wakes up before the rest of her family and urges her children to wake up, preparing breakfast and getting the children ready for school. While the film showcases how a mother always juggles through many chores, daily, to get her kids ready for school, it does so by taking the child’s perspective of this morning ritual. As the mother prepares the table for breakfast, she reaches out to for the usual bottle of milk and pours it in every cup before her own, her son notices the milk has almost finished by the time the mother pours it in her own cup, with an innocent act of appreciation and love, the child slides over his cup towards his mother, she smiles back with pride.
