Brief Explanation
The film opens at the shores of the Mediterranean, where Syrian refugees drowned in an attempt to escape to Europe. At the shores, we see Syrians grieving over the loss of their loved ones in the aforementioned drowning. They talk about the struggles they have in coping with their losses. As the voice-over continues, we see underwater shots of wreckage belonging to those who lost their lives. Just as a Syrian interviewee describes how, in a way, the sea has become a cemetery for many Syrians, tombstones with actual names and dates rise on the surface of the sea, the exact location where refugees have lost their lives. The film concludes with a call-to-action, directing the viewer to the charity organisation.
