Brief Explanation
The piece of content stars some of the most popular players in one of Egypt’s most admired clubs; Al-Ahly FC. It showcased the players chanting an anthem, but not any other anthem; blending two iconic chants fashioned by their fans into one unified composition. The renowned lyrics were altered to pay tribute not to the Al-Ahly players this time, but to the fans themselves.
The song’s title said it all: Fans Come First.
The content acted as an invitation to reconnect the fans to their idolized team, in spite of their stadium ban from local premier league matches, by asking them to send their pictures to be placed on stadium seats during matches as a symbolic gesture of presence; moving from a physical stadium ban to fans’ stadium banners.
