The Campaign
Kitkat is about celebrating the different types of breaks. So we have taken the main and the most common types of breakers in Egypt and we are celebrating them by giving them prizes through a kitkat promotion.
The promotion is done through a unique code printed inside the wrapper; an alphanumeric code (for ex. Travel238298). Consumers are to send the code to enter a raffle for the type of break the sent its code for chance to win the ultimate break of that type written with the code. The more they send codes the higher chances they win.
The film is split into 2parts. Part one is dedicated to the prize. So with each copy, we open up on a closeup beauty shot of the prize, only to trick the viewer for the first 12seconds that this is a Samsung Curve TV ad. The first part is shot as if it is a purely a Samsung Curve TV ad, using the same techniques used in their ads, only to find in the transition that it turns out to be a KitKat promotion. This is clear as the second half of the copy is dedicated to explaining the mechanics to win.
