The Campaign
You may have seen a drone carrying a delivery, transporting medicine to someone in need or simply helping out a romantic about to propose. But can drones play golf?
Well they sure can!
We made it happen.
How?
With a touch of creativity, innovation and the desire to do something extraordinary..Now let’s get into the details…
In our custom made mechanism for the Turkish Airlines Open, we placed golf balls under the drones. By developing a special software, we were able to limit the area the drones could operate within, in order to increase the quality of the game and the safety of the players.
Following this, we created a miniature golf course, with all the holes equipped with digital detectors. Our aim was to provide a new experience for golf lovers, as well as gaining new Miles&Smiles members.
Game of Drones was played approximately 8000 times in just 4 days.
5000 people joined the competition.
We gained 2500 new Miles&Smiles (Turkish Airlines' Frequent Flyer Program) members.
The top scorer of the tournament was awarded with a two-way ticket to any Turkish Airlines destination of their choice.
