The Campaign

Objective: Meem is a Saudi bank specialized in online and digital technology to communicate with customers. Meem includes a variety of services. The combination of the current and the savings account was its one innovative feature. Meem offers flexible term deposits, and multi-currency debt cards. However, main reason behind its increasing popularity is a progressive digital network, which include email, web chat, and social media posts. These communication channels make opening new accounts, account maintenance, and made the communication easier and faster. Creating campaigns related to the Saudi culture to provoke social media visitors’ behaviors, the success would be judged on: 1. Interaction Objective:Increase in the viewers\followers over the campaigns. 2.Generate additional customers to the bank. Strategy: To be the closest and preferable bank to a great number of Saudis. Moreover, to have a clear instructional steps to be easy to use among all ages. Also, works to address the trust issues associated with an online bank without much presence in real life and completely change the idea of “online banks are not safe”. Because, although Meem is a digital self-service bank, the advantages they offer are every bit as real any other bank. Implementation and Targeting: The adaption to innovation is not easy. So, our creative solution was by targeting young\middle-aged generations that will happen via using the white language in all the bank communication via social media. Meem wanted to bring across that banking through them is a different way of banking. It’s not just “banking”, it’s “Meem banking”. It’s banking with a positive difference. To show the costumers that they are really close to them and there are no barriers. The campaigns were up to date with what Saudi Arabia is going through, holidays, national day. All that happened via SMS, Email and posts on social media.

Over the campaign period the costumers were really curious to know more about Meem and how they started and their services they provides. As a result of that, people started to sing up and use their services in all over Saudi Arabia. The reason of that was in the accessibility of this service. According to Arabnet, 24/7 customer service ability to get access or extended customer service hours are the important consideration for the customers when selecting the internet-only bank. The online banks' main advantages are their availability in comparison with traditional banks' opening hours and, moreover, even on holidays.
