Brief Explanation
A TV campaign that shows the ridiculous quality and hence the disappointment in counterfeit movies, in order to fight them.
The film is about merging the original script with the fake/cheesy one in a build up that ridicules fake movie copies and invites consumers to watch the original version.
The power of the script is that it is based on the local slang reflecting the exact attitude behind counterfeiting.
The driving concept is to surprise the audience with the release of the new hollywood blockbusters trailers e.g. James bond and Batman while introducing in a well-synchronized and homogeneous way new protagonists. The transition from fake protagonists to the pirates who actually stole the movie, reproduced it and sold it builds on the low quality of a fake copy. The acting, the location, the props and wardrobe all help make the build-up towards the reveal as unexpected and as funny as possible: the director's vision to efficiently deliver the counterfeit message at the end.
