Brief Explanation

The challenges in creating the business card were to allow for a design that would reflect the brand's specialist nature, as well as appeal to both the older and established loyal clientele and its new younger customers. Our key objective was to create a business card that would be simple but at the same time unique.

The Brief

Having been in men's tailoring since 1926, Jawdat Ejjeh & Sons have long gained the reputation for being the specialists in the market. But while previous generations are well aware of the brand, recent generations are not. With their recent communication strategy to speak to a newer generation of men, Jawdat Ejjeh & Sons requested a business card that would reflect their heritage, expose their brand and increase their appeal to today's clientele.

How the final design was conceived

We decided to focus on the brand's specialty: tailor-made men's clothing - and find a way that would translate that into design. With men's wallets coming in all shapes and sizes, we decided on a business card design that would be "tailor-made" for every wallet. Using perforations on the sides of the card, receivers could then cut it down to the size that fits them best and that way, from the moment a client or colleague received the card, they would be immediately understand Jawdat Ejjeh & Sons' service.

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

Launched just a few weeks ago, the business card has seen immediate popularity. Its interactive nature gives it appeal with both generations of clients - as they are both attracted to its simple yet impactful design. The initial reaction across the board is curiosity, since the card broke the usual traditions. As a result, the objective of designing a business card that would both enhance the brand and expose it to a younger clientele was met.
