Brief Explanation
We wanted to craft a poster that stands out through simplicity.
The Brief
The task was to create a poster that connects with our audience in a meaningful way.
How the final design was conceived
In the beginning, we had the idea of creating a poster that looks like branding from far away, slightly resembling a smile. Then, the closer you get, the more a message seems to appear. Until, up close, you can read it. We collaborated with a paper artist from Hong Kong who turned our words into art in a painstakingly elaborate way. We then photographed the paper art, and only color-corrected it because we didn't want to loose the hand-crafted feel of the artwork.
Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
We received great feedback from our audience, and we even printed a special limited run of these posters as a giveaway.
