Brief Explanation
The challenge in this project was bringing out the fun in chic. While the academy consists of theater classes, workshops, art courses and a dancing studio for kids, the restaurant offers sophisticated cuisine targeting class "A" clientele. Thus the choice of name that was really pivotal to communicate both liveliness and sophistication. The restaurant and branding fell into place afterwards.
The Brief
Origami is a new concept hitting the streets of Beirut combining a Kids Academy and a Class A Kitchen / restaurant. The clients entrusted us with the creation of an identity that clearly communicates the contrast and unity of the place.
How the final design was conceived
In order to reach a brand that attracts curious children and their posh parents, we worked on applying the concept of the name "Origami" i.e. the art of paper folding to the different deliverables at hand. The choice of material and colors that seduced both children and adults was also a pivotal aspect of the process.
Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
In no time, Origami gained the trust of parents and the love of children. Mothers found that they could relate to the space and enjoy time on their own while their kids played and learned new things. Origami has become the go-to place for family outings.
