Brief Explanation
The previous guide was not up to global standards of airline entertainment guides. Also, Users were not engaging onboard to the publication, even though the publication had a wealth of content, other than program listings.
The Brief
To redesign the on-board entertainment guide. The guide sectioned all on-board entertainmetnt into several categories and wanted to promote all their new exciting content. The guide design needed t act as a natural transition issue into the new Saudia brand guidelines that launched, whilst presenting an organized, categorized and highly engaging layout.
How the final design was conceived
Turba Studios made 3 kea decisions, which would lead to several creative actions for a successful outcome:
1. Simplify the content
2. Present the content in a highly engaging layout and one that is relevant to each reader (ie, children's content would be presented for children to engage in, etc.).
3. Organize content by color-coded categories that were key references throughout the publication.
4. Uplift and highlight editorial content, as well as create editorial opportunities (ex. adding facts about actors, creating special featured content for the children's & gaming section of the publication).
Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
Saudia received much appreciation on their social media pages about the new entertainment guide. They contacted us saying that their staff witnessed several passengers engaging in the onboard content due to the publication relaunch design we created. They also increased media usage within the publication.
The layout created by Turba Studios has henceforth been used as a benchmark for all their updates to the current running issues.
