Brief Explanation

Monumental works are never produced unless we are clear about our objectives and the challenges we face. In the design of this “Book” the client’s objectives were to thank the customers for showing confidence in the product for the past 10 years in the Middle East Region, to give a premium and finest quality feel to the book and to make the consumers aware of the eco friendly paper the client was offering that was certified from FSC. To achieve this we faced challenges like creating the book with creative craftsmanship, giving it finest quality feel and leveraging each creative stock with different printing technique.

The Brief

One of our major clients wanted to celebrate its completion of 10 years in the Middle East market and 5 years in the Indian market. The company was offering 3000 copies of its “ paper product Book”; a catalog of A3 size for the Middle East and also 800 copies for India. The client wanted to establish “richness” in the design of its books, which could tell about the quality of papers. For this matter detailed photography was required to show the quality of paper with support of visuals of handbags, cars, classy frames and pots. Our client’s target audiences were printers, Ad agencies and Art directors.

How the final design was conceived

For any creative project the design has the ultimate value. Our creative team also wanted to create something that doesn’t not fulfill client’s requirement but comes up with a design that stand out in the creative world. After having a detailed discussion on their requirement with client and brainstorming, our creative team came up with the idea of 'craftsmanship on every leaf' & that was the main concept, and was applied on each page of the book. Varieties of creative stock (paper) of different g/ms were used giving each stock its own magnitude with different creative thoughts with varied range of printing techniques.

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

A good creative work speaks of itself and does not need to be propagated. The design developed for the “Book” was one such successful creative endeavor. The book successful hit the region in Middle East (UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman). It did not only earn high commendation by the client but it also managed to capture good agencies in contact and spread awareness in different industries. The design of “Book” has brought a landmark in the design and printing industry of the Middle East and has set new standards for the competitors to follow.
