IBN Battuta Mall’s Battuta Tuesday Card gives a discount at numerous shops and outlets in the mall. Take up of the card had been poor despite extensive advertising in press and the mall. IBM decided to go all out to collect subscribers. We ran page takeovers every Tuesday on dubizzle.com. The banners were designed to be fun and engaging, showcasing the various available discounts. The banners achieved unprecedented click through rates and (more importantly) a high conversion rate from the landing page. Membership now exceeds 10,000 unique names that are communicated with regularly via email and direct marketing.
