To inform drivers about Volvo XC60 with City Safety, we gave them the opportunity to conduct a crash test directly in their inbox. People engage when engagement is made easy. So we avoided annoying links or suspicious downloads. All recipients needed to do was scroll down. Almost every recipient opened the email, and scrolled, or ‘drove’ down the road on-screen. But rather than hitting the concrete barrier like most cars, they were in for a surprise. The XC60 didn’t crash because the email demonstrates City Safety. A simple and unique interaction revealing an advanced innovation – direct to your inbox.
