The Brief

Bespoke is a personal tailoring company that stretches back seven generations. They opened a bespoke (rather than made-to-measure) store in Dubai International Finance Centre. Being a small store, they didn’t want to spend too much initially on marketing. They were looking for a cost-effective, but fresh way to promote their service to the large group of affluent financiers in the large financial complex.

Creative Execution

Not only was this very cost-effective and easy to produce, but it gave prospective customers the chance to sample and appreciate the quality of the fabrics used in bespoke tailoring. More importantly, it underpinned everything the brand stands for – Each card is hand made for you personally from selected material –exactly like the bespoke suits they have to offer.

Describe the creative solution to the brief/objective.

We created business cards that recycled the off-cuts from the tailors. We then embroidered these off-cuts of all shapes and descriptions with an in-store machine, turning potential scraps into elegant, attention-grabbing business cards.

Results

After the launch and distribution of the cards, store traffic rose significantly, and the store had better than anticipated trading over this period, helping it to build a significant database of wealthy clients and potential clients in the Finance Centre.
