The Brief
Lawrence Jacomelli, a well-known director of films with pimpfilms.com needed to have his passion for films expressed through his visiting cards. It was critical that the identity was unique for him to leave a lasting impression with advertising agency producers and creatives.
Creative Execution
Insightful, fun and memorable - three words which best describe Lawrence's visiting card. In terms of execution, we created double sided cards that, when opened, showed this “framing technique” as he envisions his next shot. People who received them could also interact with the card, making it that much more memorable.
Describe the creative solution to the brief/objective.
Be at a business lunch or a pre production meeting Lawrence is forever "framing" his next shot. Using this key insight and the universally known and still-used “framing technique” we created business cards that replicated Lawrence's hand position aiming to capture a certain shot.
Results
The idea worked beautifully on two counts. Firstly it allowed Lawrence to express his passion for films to anyone who came in contact with his card. Secondly, it made for a highly memorable identity. It is hard to quantify the results for such a design job, but we are certain Lawrence's identity make his name top of mind with agency creatives.
