The Brief
Remind media agencies all through the year that National Geographic Abu Dhabi is a leading infotainment provider, dedicated to documenting powerful and well-researched stories across the earth.
We designed an interactive desktop calendar that is entirely recyclable and re-useable even after 2010.
The calendar was extremely well received by every media agency, marketer and partner. On popular demand, a fresh batch was printed and dispatched to the client’s global offices as well.
Creative Execution
We designed a recyclable 2010 desktop calendar that opened a little yellow window to the world. Made out of recycled paper, the brand was positioned as a forerunner in environment-friendliness. But we didn’t stop there. Every month, each leaf can be recycled into interesting objects. Like coasters, bookmarks, memos and even a hand fan. The calendar was extremely well received by every media agency, marketer and partner. On popular demand, a fresh batch was printed and dispatched to the client’s global offices. Yet more importantly, the calendar will continue to exist long after 2010 is over.

Results
National Geographic Abu Dhabi is passionate about the earth. Naturally, a recyclable desktop calendar that would reinforce this message all year round is very apt. Also, this calendar ensured that every month the audience would not just flip the page, but spend more time with the idea and the brand. 2010 will be over in 365 days. Thankfully, the calendar will live longer.
