Background.

Participation of Hyundai in Abu Dhabi Future of Mobility week Brief: Develop a mobile application for Hyundai Nexo exhibition stand at Abu Dhabi Future Mobility Conference 2018 to showcase & explain the technology of the new revolutionary Hyundai NEXO engine that is cleaning the air instead of polluting it. Objectives: — Present Hyundai as a technologically advanced car brand — Make the exhibition stand out from competitors such as Tesla and BMW i-Series and draw maximum footfall, specifically - the royal family. — Showcase and educate the visitors of the stand on technology behind Nexo’s engine in the most interactive, technological & understandable way

Describe the creative idea.

The creative idea was to visually show how the eco engine technology of the car works for people to experience it first hand. Rather than using a video we wanted to implement a more technologically advanced solution to add to the brand's credibility as a high-tech brand and also to create a WOW effect among the exhibition visitors, so we decided to go for Augmented Reality.

Describe the strategy.

Our target audience was visitors of the Future of Mobility exhibition, tech savvy individuals who are interested in technology and sustainability. Hyundai was participating alongside brands like Tesla and car models like BMW i-series, who are associated with technology and sustainability, so we really had a challenge on our hands to stand out next to them and draw footfall to the stand, especially that of the royal family, and get visitors interested and educated about Hyundai nexo hydrogen technology technology doesn't pollute air, but purifies it instead. Our strategy was to deploy the most technologically advanced solution available at the time - Augmented Reality to create a buzz around the stand and show the technology in the most engaging way.

Describe the execution.

We developed a mobile application that has been installed on the Ipad at the stand. The AR modeling was fit to size of the entire car and allowed to showcase the complex hybrid hydrogen-electric engine and the overall technology within the vehicle from any location of the car, any angle, and perspective. The Ipads have been used during Future of Mobility week for 2 days and have further been moved over to Hyundai showrooms to be used as sales tools for the sales team.

List the results

Hyundai NEXO stand became the most visited one at the exhibition and was visited by the royal family. Mobile app further deployed in UAE showrooms.
