Only OTC drugs are allowed to advertise in Egypt. Having said so, the whole healthcare system in Egypt is a complete chaos and regulations are not 100 percent clear. As a healthcare App Vezeeta.com is not in question, when it comes to any restrictions or regulations.

Vezeeta.com is an App targeting end customers, all of whom are facing a chaos, trying to navigate their way to finding and booking with the right doctor.

Egypt is a country of 90 million people. Everyone of them acts like a doctor. Vezeeta.com helps customers find the right doctor,book an appointment and rate them.

Cultural/Context information for the jury

We Egyptian are the masters of diagnosing ourselves and others with all sorts of illnesses based on nothing but our personal observations and unscientific judgements. We prescribe medicines, antibiotics and all sorts of remedies without hesitation, as if we are buying candy.
