The Campaign
These tools of widgets enabled the Safaricom website to reach the customer versus what traditionally happened where they had to come to us. They could easily use the tools to access any of the 14 plus services just like we were there with them across the internet landscape.
In addition, these tools created media space for Safaricom that hadn’t existed before – new avenues to stretch the brand and increase its equity.
So imagine if you wanted to enjoy the power of your mobile money services as you should – whenever you need to, wherever you are and intuitively; with Safaricom, this is exactly how it works.
Creative Execution
We set the widgets up on popular websites and invited bloggers and trending websites to place the tools. Then we informed our audience on the ease and reach of their favourite services and their availability within other websites.
Complaints about the numbers accessibility reduced. The widgets created a new media platform that allowed Safaricom to advertise its products and solutions. The tools also drew in more traffic to the corporate website and they invited more use for troubleshooting and service delivery on the website.
We sought to make it easier for them to access these numbers on their usual favourite websites by turning the functionalities into tools that could be embedded into any website. We expanded our corporate website’s reach and made it omni-present and intutitive.
