Brief Explanation

Ramadan is the time for people to celebrate and share their happiness with their loved ones. Our aim was to tighten Coca-Cola’s bond with its audience even further, and to prove once again just how close Coca-Cola is to the Egyptian consumer. Coca-Cola customized its cans with calligraphed names, nicknames, family titles and group relations, motivating and pushing people to buy personalized cans for them and their loved ones.

Creative Execution

Our ‘Share a Coke’ campaign included a cast of more than 30 actors and actresses, including a slew of soccer, music and filmmaking celebrities. One of our biggest challenges was shooting each member of this vast cast in a different location with in a span of a few mere seconds. We had to shoot more than 30 scenes, staring more than 30 different actors and actresses, whereby each shot lasted no more than a few seconds. Moreover, a large segment of our cast was recruited from the streets of Cairo. We toured around the capital asking random strangers whom they would like to share a coke with and filmed them while revealing their person of choice. Using the auto-tuning technique, all the names were compiled and transformed into cool song.
