Brief Explanation

STC has renewed its sponsorship with two of the most famous soccer clubs in the world, Real Madrid and Manchester United, as a part of the deal; STC gets 1500+ tickets per season for their customers to attend the games. In the past years, STC used to give these tickets randomly or by associating them to a specific promotion. However, this year we decided to give the tickets to the true RM and MU fans in Saudi, those who dream of meeting the stars. So we created an application where the participant has to go on a virtual journey from Saudi Arabia to Madrid or Manchester. The game has different challenges, like soccer trivia, mind games and hidden clues. To communicate this, we created this epic virtual journey, but in the real life.

Creative Execution

The STC Road to the Stars film was a very complex and challenging production. The extensive range and span of locations provided a huge logistical hurdle. Add to this the factor of dealing with world-class celebrities. It doesn't get better than this. The film, shot by Spanish director Daniel Benmayor was shot in 4 countries (UK, Spain, Turkey and UAE). We used 2 Red epics, an Arri Alexa and GoPro cameras at various stages of the production. Most of the film was shot at 25 frames per second, barring some scenes which were shot at 32/50 frames per second for postproduction purposes. A majority of the film was shot using Steadicam and easy rigs. Cranes, a cherry picker, drones and Helicams were also used for certain shots.
