Brief Explanation

Many wonderful things in Kuwait are taken for granted. Yet, it is those who live far away that notice, appreciate, and miss them most. For the occasion of Kuwait's National Day, we have filmed Kuwaitis abroad expressing the little things that they miss.

Creative Execution

This film wasn't just creative in idea or concept, it was also creative and challenge in the technique of production and how to create this beautiful storyline within strict limitations that included budget, short notice and delivery date, and perhaps the most challenging aspect of all was using a real Kuwaiti cast. We did a brain storming session to tackle the possibilities on how can we film all of those sequences at different countries with all the obstacles mentioned previously. We divided up the schedule and decided on making NYC and London as our principle filmography with main crew using small fixers and shoot with a "run 'n gun" technique. We created and followed a very tentative schedule from pre-production, to the shooting days up until the delivery date. We've shot for 5 days "NYC", 2 days "London", 1 day "Cineflex system", 1 day "Beijing", 1 day "Cairo", 1 day "Plymouth" and 1 day "San Francisco" with a budget of 310,000 USD. It was both a wonderful, and challenging experience to create such a beautiful epic film within all of these limitations. Thinking back on all we've been through and watching the final result, fills us with pride and joy.
