Brief Explanation

It was a big challenge to break the existing ideas of what a healthcare brand should be and how it should look. By using strong strategy, and bold creative we convinced our client that our new approach was correct. This helped them overcome pre-disposed ideas of what they should stand for and how they should look. The ultimate objective of the creative phase was to develop a best-in-class hospital brand that would propel them in to the medical services sector, through the creation and deployment of modern and intelligent design solutions.

The Brief

Towards the end of 2014, LLH Hospital appointed our agency to create the brand for their new hospital Medeor 24x7 Family Hospital. Medeor is a new multi-speciality, 24x7, family hospital located in the heart of Abu Dhabi. It is committed to providing high-quality care and exceptional customer service. They offer a complete range of family healthcare services that help the modern family manage their health and wellbeing. The brief was to develop a leading edge healthcare brand that would drive positive opinion and easily stand above the existing bland competition.

How the final design was conceived

We began by creating a union between the idea of 'care & emotion'. These two factors will help build a strong connection with the customer. The flower represents nurture & care and the heart represents emotion & love. We then created an illustrative interpretation of these ideas, which when combined built a simplified and intelligent icon which bonds the core ideas of care and emotion. The dark blue colour reflects Harmony and Maturity and the rose pink reflects Love, Purity and Beauty. Combined with the clean Helvetica typography they form an positive yet understated hospital brand.

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

Such was the universal approval and respect for the selected brand, in 6 weeks the chosen brand was developed and deployed in to market, which in branding terms is a huge success. Since the brand has launched, it is already clear that although the actual hospital is yet to open the key stakeholders who have worked with the brand so far, hold it in high regard. They can see that it brings with it a confident yet understated approach to healthcare branding which will easily allow it to stand out and above the standard of the existing competition.
