Brief Explanation
Challenge: To create a design that reflected the ease and flexibility of the idea.
Key objectives: To create a seamless design experience that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also user friendly and engaging.
The Brief
Pepsi preempted that the media would be cluttered with the official sponsor’s communications during the 2014 football world cup and wanted to create something that would make them standout. A simple observation of the rapidly growing mobile penetration rate led to the creation of Pepsi Goal – a mobile game, which turned a city into a football field and its residents into footballers.
How the final design was conceived
We researched the most popular games of the time and without a doubt trial and error were the best of our teachers.
Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The game is only popular if it is easy to navigate and user friendly.
Pepsi Goal app was live in 16 cities and had more than 70,000 downloads.
More than 112,000 matches were played.
The app received 4 Stars.
