Brief Explanation

Our key objective was to communicate the message in an effective way, while catching the eye & attention of the viewer. Awareness campaigns about texting & driving have been countless; the challenge was to find a new way to deliver the message while standing out of the crowd and making the message impactful.

The Brief

The Traffic Department of Erbil recently conducted a research on car accidents in the city. One of the 5 major reasons causing these accidents was Texting while driving, especially in the few past years since the telecom sector has been increasingly developing. Sardar the official dealer of Jaguar and land rover cars decided to create awareness about the matter.

How the final design was conceived

We wanted to create a visual that doesn't include violent imagery yet still have a memorable impact. We designed a simple visual bond between the smartphone keyboard and tomb stones, so people would always have in mind while texting and driving the high probability of car accidents that may lead to death.

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

The campaign was launched one month ago, research has not been yet conducted to evaluate its impact on the public. However positive feedback was received, the posters were noticed, talked about and shared amongst people in Erbil.
