Brief Explanation
Building on people's hatred of the buffering icon, we decided to blow it out of proportion. We created viral videos that show it after escaping from the Internet world to attack people in the real world. Ads were made to look like several sighting videos resembling UFOs and ghost sightings caught accidently on camera. They had to look raw and user generated, which is why they were shot using an iPhone, a webcam and a handy cam with minimal art direction, equipment and script. The actors were real friends and were asked to not ACT but rather BE in the situation. The film was intended to look unproffessional in the manner of handling the handycam and focusing on irrelevant details to capture the event like it was shot by one a of the antendees using a hand held handy-cam.
