Brief Explanation
The challenge
Create a small piece of print that could illustrate what our brand really means, and encourage our staff how to think, speak and behave. We also wanted to ensure the piece was kept light, fun and engaging, both in terms of design and copy.
Key objectives
1. Communicate to our staff what our new brand looks like, both visually and mentally.
2. Clearly explain that our re-brand takes more than just a new look and feel.
3. Explain how we are all expected to think, speak and behave in a fun and light way.
The Brief
This was an internal project to communicate clearly to all our staff, why we have re-branded, and what that means to them moving forward.
How the final design was conceived
Our re-brand created a new style which was light, clean and understated. One which implys confidence without shouting. This was great, but to truly communicate the vibrancy, talent and diversity of what lies inside the company (on a mental level) we needed a piece of print which could do both.
So, the mini manifesto was born. The cover has no print, just embossing and neat stitching, giving a contemporary and understated exterior. Once opened, this all changes. The internal pages are full of colour and bold typography, perfectly illustrating that although we are cool and calm on the outside, we are also a kaleidoscope of talent and culture on the inside.
Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
Internally all our staff reacted very well to the manifesto, helping them understand what it meant to be part of our the team.
It has also been a great tool for new staff. What could be nicer than to arrive on your first day in a new job, and on your desk lies your new business cards, a plan for you first day and a mini manifesto that quickly helps you understand the internal personality of the agency.
