The Brief
To promote the GD510, LG's solar powered mobile phone.
Describe how the promotion developed from concept to implementation
We created a special transit ad, with eight charging pods for eight different mobile phone brands, that is powered by a solar panel.
Describe the success of the promotion with both client and consumer including some quantifiable results
In the first week alone, more than 1,500 phone users came to recharge their phones. It was a huge success that the client has decided to invest in over 100 transit ads around the country.
Explain why the method of promotion was most relevant to the product or service
The ad proved that the free and clean energy of the sun is a viable and reliable alternative to conventional electricity. And more importantly, it gave all mobile phone users a first-hand experience of owning a solar powered phone like the GD510.
