Brief Explanation

SACO stores offer many energy-saving products. To demonstrate environmental responsibility and raise awareness, SACO wanted to participate in Earth Hour 2010. Over 7,000 people a day visit their website, so we decided to switch off the lights on its homepage. Visitors could navigate around the page only by dragging an icon representing a low-energy lantern. An onscreen message then provided a link to the Earth Hour site and encouraged them take part in the symbolic worldwide 60-minute switch-off on 27th March. The result? All SACO’s online visitors became aware of Earth Hour, with 70% committing to switch off their lights.
