Brief Explanation
Microsoft wanted to improve its consumer base in Egypt across all the products it offered and make their brand more relatable to Egyptian people. So we started by localising Egyptian conversations on MSN chat, all through a pack of 10 emoticons that looked, talked and behaved just like them.
Egyptians could now express themselves through over-emotive gestures, digitally. This pack of 10 emoticons was named ‘Ana Masri’ or ‘I Am Egyptian’.
