Brief Explanation
Vodafone Bill Manager is a service designed to protect you against unpredictable bill shocks due to roaming or out-of-bundle charges.
To dramatize this, we created a horror film series about the shock that comes with when receiving a bill amount you did not plan or anticipate.
OFFICE synopsis:
After a long day at the office, a young man decided to watch some football on his mobile. Hours into the game, he is suddenly pulled back to reality when a strange red liquid drips on him from the vent above. This sets off a series of abnormal activity happening around him, one including a photocopy machine printing frantically. As he gets closer, he sees the same message printing over and over again…
Execution
The key objective was to tell these stories like films, and not like ads. Keeping with the signature eerie feel of the campaign, the film is set at night. Like most great corporate thrillers, the environment is cold and green, making the viewer uneasy from the get go. Our pale faced over-worked hero resembles Tyler Durden from Fight Club, giving the audience an insight to his character without getting to know him. The lighting plays a crucial part in the film; neon/fluorescent lights constantly flickering, creating a ghostly mood throughout. The camera follows the protagonist, slowly panning through what he is seeing, thus building suspense. To really dramatize the climax of the film, the hero is drawn towards a sporadic neon, green light coming from a copy machine. For the grande finale, we abruptly cut away as horror echoes through the building.
